Back again for the 3rd "song-a-month" installment this merry month of December, Mista Cookie Jar & the Chocolate Chips have thrown their Santa hats in the ring, this time to join the spirit-inducing tradition of holiday music. Inspired by the soulful legends of the era, this funky family band have created a fun, 50's pop party anthem rich with jingle bells, saxophones, rhythm & blues guitar, and humorous full-of-heart lyrics.

"This year, Santa himself has commissioned a jingly pop song to boost morale everywhere, from the workshop floor to the family minivan. Mista Cookie Jar has answered the jolly old elf's bell, delivering a multicultural 50's pop-soul sideline cheer to keep holiday spirit up well into the new year."
-Jeff Bogle of Cooper & Kid

Hey! I got the spirit.
(He got the spirit, yeah, he got the spirit.)
I said, you know I got the spirit.
(He got the spirit, yeah, he got the spirit.)
Holla of u hear it.
(He got the spirit, yeah, he got the spirit.)
And Ima never let it go!
(Never ever let it go!)

Time to get together.
It's the holidays.
Cheers cuz everybody
here knows your name.
Singing songs
at the top of our lungs.
Who knew winter time
could be such fun?
Under mistletoe
Moving like James Brown.
Jump back, kiss myself.
Cuz it's just me around.
And I got soul.
Plus, I'm super bad.
Let's make it
the best night we ever had.

Christmas cookies.
Red, green and white.
Steal a bite here and there
all throughout the night.
Now tell me what you wanna do?
"I wanna boogie."
Dance because it's chilly.
Shake until we're silly.
Slow it down...take a breath.
Now think about the little things
That make you feel so blessed.
Happy to be home.
What's that Im grooving on?
It's Santa Clause tooting that Saxophone! Now C'mon!

(Sax Solo)

I think it Smells like Xmas spirit!
I said it feels Kwanzaz spirit ! Hey!
You know it must be Chanukah spirit!
Now can ya feel it?!
Now can ya feel it?!
And now it's almost New Years Day!
And Valentines Day is on the way!
Now keep it going, going on through the year, kid!
Now can ya feel it?!
Now can ya feel it?!
